The Panasonic TXP46G20 belongs to the company's popular line of VIERA televisions. It has a G12 NeoPDP screen. 600 Hz Sub-Field Drive exceptionally displays high-definition pictures with up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution.

Looking at it alone will tell you that it doesn't try to look just like other HDTVs in the market these days. Everything else is happy with flashing high-gloss black frames. But the TXP46G20 incorporates a streak of silver along the panel's bottom. It gives this plasma TV a fresh look, without being too conspicuous about it.

Rich Black Reproduction

Consumers often complain about the inability of some HDTVs to display black shades correctly. More often than not, blacks end up as grays. This is especially evident on some LCD panels with very limited viewing angles.

However, the Real Black Drive system of the Panasonic TXP46G20 helps get rid of that. This innovation is an advanced method of displaying rich blacks. It works even in movie scenes where it's practically tricky to maintain a proper balancing of light and dark shades. This plasma TV comes with a 40,000:1 contrast ratio - and this is quite impressive enough. But turning on the dynamic mode amplifies this to an unbelievable 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Eliminating Motion Blurs

Watching action-packed blockbusters or sports often give you a splitting headache with all the blurs you're seeing. This is especially true when doing it using an HDTV with sub-standard imaging technologies. You miss out on all the action as nothing can be displayed sharply.

The Panasonic TXP46G20 addresses this problem with the Intelligent Frame Creation Pro. It's a unique image-analysis feature which converts each scene into data for analysis. Then new frames are interpolated in between existing ones to achieve smoother transition. With eliminated motion blurring, you get to enjoy more of the action and less of the headache.

True Cinema Experience at Home

On weekends when you have no work, you just want to stay at home and enjoy some movies. These days, you don't necessarily have to step foot in a cinema to have a cinematic experience. The TX-P46G20 comes with a feature that lets you have your own silver screen in your living room.

Movies are shot using 24 frames each second. That's the same frame rate used by projectors in cinemas. The 24p Playback of the Panasonic TXP46G20 uses the same frame rate so you can have that unique cinema feel at home. Boosting up that feel is the V-Audio Surround coming from two speakers hidden at the bottom of the panel.

Easy AV Devices Networking

This plasma TV comes with multiple HDMI ports which let you input your choice of AV devices. Worry not about familiarizing yourself with using their individual remote controllers. With the VIERA Link feature, you only need the VIERA TV's remote control to operate all of them.

A LUMIX digital camera's HDMI connectivity further enhances this feature. If you got a recent LUMIX digital camera model, you can connect it directly to the Panasonic TXP46G20. Then you can playback the photos and videos contained therein in HD quality. Also, through the VIERA Image Viewer, you can share JPEG and AVCHD files stored on an SD card.
